I have to say, it's bold to say selling starts at $40 for VoIP, when that's not the price of Vonage. I hear the criticism in the market, that think the price should be higher… Is the marketplace calling Vonage wrong?
Is that the opinion? Or is the comment selling starts at $40 mean that you no longer want to get into the business because you feel it's a commodity under $40?
I would say, if I am not making 40% profit that I won't sell it. If I am making 40% profit, selling it at 19 or 29 dollars this is fine if I am competitive and still able to add value.
I'm in it to make money aren’t you? Price is part of competition. Without competition...you pay the monopoly price. Right now with a $29 a month or even $19 a month VoIP service, you can still make ridiculous margin/commissions.
If you run your own system...easily 40%. If you are reselling...probably less, but no less than 25%.
I would just get into the business and test the market... If you want to try to sell the service for $40...I can help you do that. But I would suggest what we recommend, and that's between 19 and 29 depending on services and destinations. And make sure there is good margin. (Value)
